TOOTH GEM FAQ

How are the tooth gems attached?

  • Crystals and gold are bonded to client’s tooth using dental grade adhesive and UV light curing. The process is like installing an orthodontic bracket. It is both painless, relatively fast and completely safe. There is no drilling involved and is semi-permanent.

How long will they stay on?

  • There are a lot of factors that go into longevity. Gems can stay on anywhere between a few months to a year. Brushing hard, chewing hard candies or food, wearing retainers or injury to the mouth can impact a bond, causing it to weaken. These factors may shorten the lifespan of your jewelry.

How do i get them removed?

  • An office visit to your dentist should be simple to remove the gem and buff the adhesive off your tooth. We do not do removals as those are required to be completed by dental professionals.

are they safe?

  • Yes! We only use certified advanced Swarovski, lead-free crystals and quality gold designed for dental installation. Should these materials be swallowed, they are safe to pass normally.

Is my tooth a good candidate?

  • Charms, crystals and gems can only be bonded to organic material, which excludes veneers, dentures, or gold teeth. Teeth and gems should be in good health. If you are prone to sensitivity (like drinking cold water), you may experience some increased sensitivity with the gold or crystal piece. If you are unsure, please consult with your dentist.

Can i bring my own gem?

  • You cannot bring any outside gems into the studio for application. We would have no way of verifying that it is quality material and cannot take responsibility for use of any outside materials.

Do I need to be 18+?

  • In order to get tooth gems, you must legally be 18 years of age with proper ID.
